Margi Sullivan – Chairwoman of the Board
Margi Sullivan is a native of the Bay Area. After earning a BFA from California College of the Arts in Environmental Design, she has had an extensive and varied career. Margi started out as an interior designer with the architectural firm of Whisler Patri. She joined Rucker Fuller as a designer and left as the Vice President of Business Development. She established SideMark San Francisco, a furniture dealership that focused on creating healthy workplaces that supported ergonomics and interesting spaces for the users. Mid career she also worked as a publicist for Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey, Walt Disney’s World on Ice and AOL. She also was in-house with Gensler Worldwide Architecture and supported their Los Angeles, Newport Beach, San Francisco and Seattle branches. Margi has served on a number of boards and has received numerous awards from her community.
Laura Guido-Clark – Founder/President
Laura Guido-Clark is the principal of Laura Guido-Clark Design, LLC, a multiple disciplinary design studio that specializes in the human experience. She is the Global Creative Director of Materials Innovation for Herman Miller in addition to collaborating on color, materials and finishes with companies like Kodak, HP, Samsung and Toyota - and industries such as automotive, consumer electronics, and home furnishings. Her textile and pattern design include work for HBF, Carnegie, Pallas, FLOR and Uncommon. As a result of her expertise, Laura has been invited to speak both nationally and internationally on design, and was an expert design blogger for Fast Company magazine. She was honored as the IIDA Northern California Chapter recipient of the 2014 Leadership Award of Excellence. Laura has a B.F.A. in Interior Design from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. Prior to founding her own firm, Laura served as the Vice President of Design for Deepa Textiles in San Francisco, and taught color & materials at CCA and University of California at Berkeley.
Chris Domina – Vice President
Chris Domina is a partner and senior member of the global brand team at IDEO, a global design firm that takes a human-centered, design-based approach to helping organizations in the public and private sectors innovate and grow. He leads a Bay Area group that focuses on designing brand-driven experiences that create business growth and impact. Chris has worked with a diverse range of clients including eBay, Nike, Citi Bank, Air New Zealand, Timberland, Procter and Gamble, Accenture, Snap-on, and the National Institutes of Health. Prior to joining IDEO, Chris was the Director of Design and a member of the executive management team at Metro, a furniture manufacturer and subsidiary of Steelcase. He was responsible for overall strategy, design direction, and new product development for which he was awarded numerous patents. Chris earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial design from Arizona State University and an MFA from the University of Illinois. He also studied at the Domus Academy in Milan, Italy.
Greg Mayeda – Secretary
Greg Mayeda is an attorney based in his hometown of Oakland, California. He specializes in employment law, representing employees in disputes with employers. Greg has litigated class action discrimination cases against large companies like Toyota and also helps individuals who face discrimination in the workplace. In addition to his private practice, Greg serves as Special Counsel for the North American Division of Wrist Ship Supply. At Wrist, he had the opportunity to apply his passion for community activism by spearheading a project that transformed a graffiti bombed West Oakland building to a block-long mural. The mural has helped to revitalize the neighborhood and gained national attention. Greg received a B.A. in history from the University of California at Berkeley and a J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of the Law.
