We gathered in San Francisco to build the heART, children and adults alike created whimsical red chalk drawings outside and wrote their wishes on red tags to hang on our tree, families and friends mugged for the camera in our heart photo booth, and Laura introduced Lisa Blair, principal of our first school project, the E.C. Reems Academy in Oakland, CA.
La Casa de las Madres, North Beach Citizens, YEAH!
Fun at the Photobooth:
The color red steps forward; it is courageous. Red takes action. Its intensity radiates and pulsates from deep within. It is the warmest of all colors. Our friends have been sending us inspirations that they have been finding in their daily lives. Even on the streets of San Francisco, John was dressed up all in the color of the moment: Red! In honor of our December Random Act of Color - Spread Red - enjoy our inspirations!

Act 1: Connect the Dots
A Random Act of Color is our remedy for monotony and lack. It is optical optimism; a community act of color stirring emotions of wonder, reflection and joy.
For our first act, recycled CD’s, 45′s and albums were transformed with color. Utilizing zip ties, the connected dots wrap the tree like jewelry.
