Call to Action – Marketing Communications Intern/Writer

We are seeking a journalistic writer to work with our team in creating content for our blog and social media plan. This is an opportunity to be involved in the early stages of a national movement - as well as gain in depth understanding of color. We tell stories about the power of color as a change agent, its connection to emotion, and how it impacts people’s lives in a positive way. Our intern will both develop existing story ideas and relevant stories of their own, conduct the necessary research including interviews, write final content, suggest imagery, and manage posts to implement our social media plan.

Requirements:

  • Compelling writer who can help develop the organization’s external voice to reflect the spirit of our founder
  • Inherent sense of and appreciation for design and color
  • An understanding of the power of social media
  • Technical knowledge of web and social media platforms including Wordpress, Twitter and Facebook
  • Self-directed, inquisitive and collaborative

The internship is unpaid and we are requesting a commitment of 10-15 hours a week in our Berkeley headquarters, shared with Laura Guido-Clark Design.

If you are interested, please contact Krista Markell at color@projectcolorcorps.org with relevant experience.

Call to Action – Web Designer

We are seeking a pro-bono/volunteer web designer to build out the next generation of our website. The goal of the project is to build a robust website using current Word Press tools that integrates the brand identity of the organization and allows easy future updates by organization volunteers. Candidates will be provided with an in depth project brief if interested.

If you are interested, please contact Krista Markell at color@projectcolorcorps.org with relevant experience.

Call to Action – Videographer

We are seeking a pro-bono/volunteer videographer to document Random Acts of Color. A Random Act of Color is our rebellion against monotony and lack. It is optical optimism; a community act of color stirring emotions of wonder, reflection and joy. The first Random Act of Color was completed and documented in September 2011. View the video here: http://www.vimeo.com/29710692. We are seeking a videographer to document Random Acts of Color in the Bay Area to be posted on our website to spread our message. Requirements include use of your own camera and licensed music. Project Color Corps will own copyrights for short films made on our behalf, but video credit will be accommodated.

If you are interested, please contact Krista Markell at color@projectcolorcorps.org with relevant experience.
